A bench by the water

Seacat Studios works out of Highlands, New Jersey — a fishing town at the mouth of the Shrewsbury River. The studio is small on purpose: one bench, hand tools, and time enough to finish a piece properly.

Half of what we do is new. Rings, chains, earrings and pendants are fabricated from solid 14k gold and sterling silver, set with stones chosen one at a time. We work in small runs and take on custom commissions, including redesigns using stones you already own.

The other half is older than us. We buy antique and estate jewelry from local estates, auctions and shuttered shore jewelers, then clean and assess each piece before it's listed. We describe age, materials and wear honestly — antiques are sold as-is, and there's only ever one.
